It'sKitschmas!

And if you can't get enough, here is the 2005 and 2003 lists.

As the place I found this says, "Yes, Virginia: someone has to have thought each and every one of these things was a good idea. Fortunately, it’s not the same someone in every case, or we’d have to kill him."

Over time my heart has warmed to Nancy Reagan (I ascribe it to age for both of us). The QOTD on my calendar had this quote of hers: "I have been very happy with all my homes, but homes really are no more than the people who live in them."

Given that she was essentially a renter for at least eight years, this is a nice comeback to the "you must own" crowd. {I can't recall if she and President Reagan lived in the governor's mansion when he was governor of California, but if so, then she was a renter for 16 years.}

Who knew cruise passengers had it in them?

Passengers mutiny on Sapphire Princess

"The trouble began soon after the ship departed Bangkok on Nov. 18 for a 16-night cruise across Asia. The first day was sunny, but then the ship promptly ran into back-to-back typhoons (what they call hurricanes in that part of the world). And from all accounts, it was a grim scene.

"...the ship, which arrived in Beijing Tuesday, missed half of its scheduled port calls on the cruise, including its much-anticipated stops in Vietnam (two were planned; none happened) as well as Taiwan and the island of Okinawa. Brown also says the seas were extremely rough during the trip -- so rough that the captain shut down the outdoor decks and pools, forcing passengers to spend days stuck below deck with little to do.

"At one point, passengers held a shouting match with the captain in the atrium. At another point, passengers took over the stage of the ship's theater in protest."

1. Mistletoe-To-Go

From Stupid.com: "It's an attractive arrangement of faux mistletoe attached to a suction cup. When you affix the suction cup to your forehead, the mistletoe is perfectly positioned to dangle above your head. As you roam the room, members of the opposite sex will have no choice but to give you a holiday kiss."
