Over time my heart has warmed to Nancy Reagan (I ascribe it to age for both of us). The QOTD on my calendar had this quote of hers: "I have been very happy with all my homes, but homes really are no more than the people who live in them."
Given that she was essentially a renter for at least eight years, this is a nice comeback to the "you must own" crowd. {I can't recall if she and President Reagan lived in the governor's mansion when he was governor of California, but if so, then she was a renter for 16 years.}
