Ahh yeah, the white is probably a big reason too.

All my other cars were black too.

What did you end up doing with *my* 300? Trading it in or putting it on Craigslist? :)

Craigslist was too creepy, tried to sell on my own with no solid offers, wimped out and sold to Carmax,

How did that go? Did Carmax give you a good deal?

I had one of my cars appraised by Carmax, it took a while but the price they offered was fair... ended up trading it to the dealer for about the same amount.

The last time I sold a used car was on Auto Trader (before the explosion of the Internet)... it worked out okay but I think today it's much harder to sell privately because of trust issues.

Speaking of used cars -- did you guys catch the 20/20 episode about Carfax reports? Pretty interesting. Here is a synopsis. Check reports from various reporting agencies if you want to buy used.

It was lower... not by much.. but for a +100K mileage car.. it's my easiest option..  besides my HOA was ticketing my extra car which I was parking on the street..

Yeah but the point is to hide my illegal texting/nose picking/shaving while eating a Del Taco burrito on the way to work...

So I spent a good chunk of my Saturday ripping out the tint in my two front windows.  The steaming technique didn't really help, a lot of glue left on the window that I had to shave off with a razor.  Looking back, I would probably pay a shop to do this... Not worth the time and busted fingers.  Got it signed off at the Civic Ctr, had to pay $8 for a "sign off" fee... Geesh, the privilege of living in Irvine, nickeled and dimed even by the police.  Felt like I just paid $5 for a corn dog at Disneyland but without the fun..

Just out of curiosity... how long does it take for you guys to take a shower?

For me, at most, I think 5 minutes... for a guy, not much to do because you usually have short hair... but I don't get 20-30 minute showers.

45 minutes - 1 hour.

30 minutes on a super quick day.

The longest is 2 hours when I do a bath & shower combo.

Sometimes I wish I could be a guy for a week. Life would be so much easier. To be done in 5 would be a dream come true.

The problem also with long showers for you ladies (or metro gents)... the long prep time AFTER the shower.  So not only is the shower half an hour... but the blow drying, moisturizer, makeup, etc can be another half hour to hour... getting ready for breakfast almost always becomes let's have lunch instead.

Yes, that is absolutely correct. Add +1 hour to finish getting ready. Add + 45 min. to curl hair (optional). Total from stepping into shower until ready to leave = 2 hours or 2 hours, 45 min.

The secret to being ready on time in the morning is eating breakfast in the bathroom.

Um, while you are taking the 1 hour shower, is the water running for one hour as well?  If so, I hope you're connected to your neighbor's water line as I would hate to see the water bill.  :P

or you could just be me.. :-\
I hardly take 20 mins to shower/ get dressed and get some war paint on. But then I don't do hair every day..that adds 20 more mins unless I air dry and get the kinky curls. Do you think I am not losing weight because of quick showering?  :-[

Yes, it is a long time. And believe me, I get sick of it, too. There is just too much to do. It is what it is.

Yes, currently, I do run the water the entire time. Not only that but I have always had my shower heads "customized" by having the flow-limiter removed (the O-ring thing) so it can do a hard spray. If that isn't hard enough it would take twice as long to rinse my hair out. I used to turn the water off in between each "task" but that became a hassle because the temp wouldn't remain consistent. To fix that, I then switched to a shower head with a dial to switch to a weaker mode in between "tasks" to save water. The current shower head does not have that feature. So, it just stays on. Sometimes I have the shower head switched-out many times before I find the one I love.
