Millions is a drop in the bucket. California paid $20 billion in unemployment fraud during the pandemic. I don’t know how much tax revenue minimum wage jobs generate anyway especially if a lot of workers aren’t even legal. Workers still need to be subsidized by the government for food, housing and healthcare. Not having easy to fast food will save billions in healthcare costs in the long run.Moving the goalposts. It went from "increasing the minimum wage won't hurt the economy" to "fast food closures are good for society".
I'm not sure how destroying a tax base will save the the state billions of dollars. It's actually the opposite. There are 18,000 less jobs generating tax revenue and costing the state unemployment fund millions.
