Looks like the IPO family are going to be renters...

Phew, I am one tired IPO... Had to finish off my mini master bath remodel, which meant a whole lotta spackling, sanding, texturizing, and painting today.



The fruits of my labor:

Yes, I know, I have a friggin' purple bathroom... The wife digs it and it's actually Spring Lilac.



I learned today that my master bath outlets are on a GFI circuit connected to another bathroom. Both stopped working and I reset all the breakers at the box, twice, to no avail. Dumb luck had my stop by the common bathroom upstairs to see if that outlet was working and I noticed the reset button had popped out. Reset that sucker and viola, power working everywhere. I was all set to call the electrician tomorrow... That would have been a serious waste of $100!

Dude, I can see a crack in that caulking work of yours. Shesh... well, at least it is not as bad as the work done on Hearthside Homes project Brightwater in Huntington Beach, with a crack throughout the entire caulking strip. At least if the CFO thing doesn't work out for you, then you can do a better job than the sub-contractor at Brightwater.

My caulk rocks! Got lots more of that to do before we list. I should have inset the new medicine cabinets but I chickened out and went wall mount instead. Even the illustrious IPO has his DIY limits :)

Ten-Man, you speak the truth. IPOp has become fat, dumb, and happy. I DO need less carbs and I DO need more cardio. 42s ain't that far off! I remember my lean-mean single years when my fighting weight was a buck ninety or so and I was able to rock the 34s. I was doing three miles a day on the mill in 20 minutes back then and hitting the weights after that for thirty minutes... Wish I had that kind of time or/and discipline now.



Thanks al, maestro, bk, skek, cayci, et all for the well wishes. Tomorrow is the meet with the staging company. Worst case scenario I get some free advice. Best case, I can hammer them down on price and get my place staged up like a model for $2K.

IHB will have it's very own float this year based on YMCA song theme. The G man will be the cop, I will be the Indian, IR will be the construction worker, and we have room for one more. Are you in Ten-man?

Where's Nude been? I miss his nakedness... Uh-oh, graph is going to think another bromance has gone on behind his back, er, backside.
 
I don't get the whole stigma of renting... We have two renters on our block and when we met each of them, they both demurely told us, "we're just renting." And, we had a condo renter who likes to walk her dog down here because it's "nicer" introduce herself with the caveat that she is "just renting." Between the tone of their voice and the way they say it under breath tells you that they embarrassed to be "renters." I never felt that renting, perhaps because we were building quite the savings, but still I don't get why Americans feel like second class citizens renting.



IPO, your rental sounds so nice and just perfect for you and your family. I expect that you will enjoy it. Now, tell me how Mrs. IPO talked you into lavendar in the bath. I can't get my hubby to let me have my way with earthy greens. Our living room is now a pastel hue and I hate it, he loves it and that was a compromise. I thought that by default I had final say in these things, but I think I need some tips from Mrs. IPO on how to sell hubby on what works and what doesn't.
