thoughts?

I mean it's a good thing but why can't they  just cut spending?  CA and it's majority voters are so clueless on finances.

LA will soon be in the 10% range on a normal level for sales tax.

Something desperately needs to be done about the homeless population, but tax increases rarely work. Need more money to be poured into mental health and addiction services.

Maybe when the mass deportations start there will be plenty of vacant homes where people can squat.

It's crazy to see families being out on the streets.. young kids.

Both Measure H and HHH are underfunded and only seeks to provide 10,000 housing units.  We need a lot more than that now and in near future, but the solution isn't necessarily to build the housing units in LA County.  There are other, cheaper areas that would be less of a financial burden to tax payers.

I use to ride my bike to the beach on the Santa Ana river trail.
The area by Anaheim stadium has become a shanty town.
You can see the tents on the freeway.

It's growing.http://www.bikeforums.net/southern-california/1037890-sart-homeless-tents.html

Use to golf at Riverview because it was cheap, but so many homeless people were there I stopped going. Prefer to pay more at Tustin Ranch and be safe.  Here's a video along the bike path:

I understand we need to fix the homeless situation however, do you really think the government will be responsible with the additional tax revenue? The funds will be squandered. Government is always insufficient in solving societal problems. Sheesh, just look at the billions that are being wasted in that ridiculous bullet train through the hellhole called San Joaquin Valley.

I know it's a point of view.. but a better way to combat this is to bring back some blue collar jobs.  Get people working to get them off the streets.  I don't think building homes and subsidizing it fixes anything.  Cali taxes are just too crazy.. would be nice to get a Tesla factory down here.
