Indicator That the Bottom is Here!

What is the one indicator you guys look at to get some sense that the bottom is here or near?



Mine - When most people decide it is cool to be a bear...that's when I know it really isn't.
 
When Dennis Kneale's or Larry Kudlow's head explodes, then we know it is the bottom. Actually, I agree with you, be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful. In other words, don't follow the lemmings off of the cliff.
 
When I haven't heard "Oh. My. God. Honey, listen to this!" come out of Graph's mouth regarding anything having to do with individual or collective foreclosures in...say...3 months.



Edit: I change my mind to 6 months regarding foreclosures, but still 3 months regarding any other financial/economic news. Today, for instance, it was about Citi.
 
When mark to market is enforced on ALL assets, the bottom will shortly follow the subsequent quartely report.
 
It wont be the bottom. But we need to give up on AIG.

It will be close to the bottom when healthcare is nationalized.

The real bottom is when you see blood in the streets.
 
I think gold is definitely heading lower.

Based on the fact that everywhere I look there are cash4gold or invest in gold commercials on t.v.

Getting more run than even the Sham Wow guy.
 
When were flat for several years and THEN see a consistent upswing in prices for at least 6 months. I guess, the rear view mirror thing is right.

Oh, yuk. I guess it's a pretty good indicator of a bottom for him. It's always amazing to me how we get so derailed. What a weird story.
