http://mortgage.freedomblogging.com/2007/12/18/foreclosures-plummet-in-oc/

In November, banks foreclosed on 364 homes in Orange County, down 31 percent from October and the lowest monthly total since June, reports DataQuick. However, foreclosures were up 257% last month vs. a year earlier.

And notices of default, the first stage of foreclosure, totaled 933 in November, down 36% from October and the lowest since April. November’s total was up 40% from a year ago. Lenders usually file an NOD when a borrower has missed three or more monthly payments.
