The musician G. Love claims to have lost his retirement savings after accidentally downloading a malicious app on Apple’s App Store.
G. Love, whose real name is Garrett Dutton, 53, made the claims in a lengthy X thread on Saturday, April 11, writing, "I had a really tough day today I lost my retirement fund in a hack/Scam when I switched my @Ledger over to my new computer and by accident downloaded a malicious ledger app from the@Apple store. All my BTC gone in an instant."
The performer noted in a third post that he lost 5.9 BTC, around $ 424,000, which he had accumulated over a ten-year span.
