I've been spending quite a bit of time at open houses and model homes lately, and I've noticed that not only am I obsessed with 3CWG (3-car wide garages) but just garages in general.
You are like me if:
1. When on the first floor, you spend just as much time looking at the garage as the rest of the first floor.
2. You are frustrated at new model homes when they lock the garage so you can't look at it.
3. One of the first things you do when you go into the garage is look for a space for the 2nd fridge.
4. The second thing you do is look at how high the garage ceiling is to scope out locations to put your above garage storage.
5. You like it when a resale home has garage floor coating but don't really want to do it yourself if it doesn't.
6. You walk off the width and length of the garage to make sure your cars will fit nicely in it... I have it memorized... at least 22 steps long and 22 steps wide.
7. You have acronyms for the different type of garages.
8. On Redfin, the first thing you look at is the exterior shot to see what kind of garage it has.
9. You are reluctant to visit open houses or model homes with only a 2-car garage.
10. You prefer garage doors with windows so that you can have natural light in your garage.
