Guess who's renting in Shady Canyon?

What happened to pride of ownership, tax write offs a commitment to the area and a solid groundnig for a family? Were all those things lies? John...say it aint so

What happened to following the "smart money" at the top?

unfortunately I don't have a link as it's not from the media. All I can say is that I know he is renting, and it's not for good reasons.

[quote author="WestparkRenter" date=1227523111]I thought he would be all set. I also think either he is divorcing or renovating.

Depends on where he's renting, no? ;-)

I was told he used his prior shady home as a piggy bank and got in too deep in building properties like Villa Lago. And the real estate downturn has hit him hard..he has a lot of overhead. I was also told his wife is an heiress to the Hershey Chocalate fortune, however her father is alive and well and John wouldn't go to him and ask for money. Who knows if this is all true, but my source is certain he is renting.

I couldn't resist cross posting this. It belongs here too.

the public has found out about this fast, obviously as this sale was not posted in the MLS. his residence traded hands in the middle of october. kinda of a slap in the face to his shady listings that have been on the market 1-3 years. plus all the proclaiming how the high end is immune to this economic collapse. this is not a divorce sale

Update. OCR ran an article on this today. This is why he says he's renting.

?The decision (to sell) was made solely for family reasons,? McMonigle said. ?This had more to do with us.?

Or the soon to be seperate "us". What a load of PR crap
