There are more than 1,000 homes in Luna Park, yet there are no nearby schools for children. Homeowners are paying around $1,000 in Mello-Roos each year, but there is still no school infrastructure in place. There is a large amount of open space where Lennar continues to build more homes, and that land could be used for much needed schools. Unfortunately, no one seems concerned about planning for children’s education. It appears that the builder Lennar along with the city and the school district are focused on collecting money from residents while failing to provide basic infrastructure like schools. Luna Park urgently needs schools including elementary, middle, and high schools to support the growing community.

Won’t happen if it is zoned for SVUSD. You can see a similar circumstance to The Meadows development in Lake Forest as the district is declining in enrollment and closing schools elsewhere.
