I bought GLD in the mid 70's, sold it a few weeks ago in the low 90's, and am completely out of it now. The investment was less than 2% of the portfolio.</blockquote>

Skek made 40 bucks. He only had 2 shares of GLD...I know cause he told me.

That puts his overall portfolio to 7,000K...financially he is many years away from retiring. However considering his age, he only has 3 more years to make it work. But with mind blowing 28% percent returns...he will get there in no time. WORK IT BABY!</blockquote>

Now that's not fair, Bernie, er Blackvault. You aren't counting my vintage Marmaduke comic book collection or those 1980s-era Star Wars collector cups from Burger King! Those are worth big coin!</blockquote>

Huh? What are you talking about? Marmaduke? That's not what you showed me...

I knew you were going to lie about it...so I snapped a pic with my new iPhone.

Laugh as you might I sold my Silver Age and Partial Gold Age Comics collection..... I didn't make HUGE money, but my profit was about 200-300%. On some comics I made close to 10,000%.

As for gold I only own about 2% currently (I have about 3% of silver and less than 1% of plat.), its mainly just a fun hedge/preservation fund for now. Its so cheap that owning a few slips might be worth it..... As far as jewerly, I do own a few nice things, but they aren't horrendously expensive (a lone big ruby (4+ct), a large-ish Alexandrite (3+ct), and a ~3ct Diamond). I bought them cheap.... I'd like to get a blue diamond, but those aren't likely to be on sale...ever. Oh well.

	good luck
