Wow you think Catholics are heretics? Take a look at history they fought for Christianity and Jesus Christ.
And most of their fight was not really Christian or what Christ would have wanted. They kept fighting for their own benefits including even killing genuine Christ believers. The error with Catholic is they made regulations and traditions based on human desires and set them as if they're God's laws. The same mistake for Judaism and most other religious systems to be honest.
The only fight Christians are supposed to fight is the spiritual fight. We need to stand against motivations, trends, teachings, cultures, or even laws that are against what God says in the Bible. That is not to say start a rebellion or anything as the Bible strictly teaches not to do so. It's that we don't get blended into such wrong systems. It's that regardless of such attacks, we show love and kindness. It's that we keep preaching Christ even if the law says not to do so.
1. I think you should look at previous history regarding Catholics before I respond.
2. Bible teaches many things. But let?s look at David versus Goliath. David did not run away and he had no sword or armor. We all know how the story ended. David won the battle. (I will leave the other parts what David did after he used the sling shot, just in case kids or others read this)
In general, we can try for peaceful resolution, but there are times we have to fight back against evil.
1. Once you start adding or taking out things from the Scriptures, you?re heretic no matter what religious system you?re in. Catholic, Judaism, or even Christianity, they all could be heretic if they don?t keep the Word of God as is. God gave us this book, The Holy Bible as a COMPLETE and ONLY revelation of His will to the humanity. That was the exact reason Christianity had to reform from the apostate Catholic system which the church fathers had to sacrifice even their lives for. Up to even today, Catholic religion has so many false regulations added to their system (including demon casting for morekaos) to the point where even Jesus becomes not the only way to salvation and that is exactly opposite of what Jesus taught. The reason they added things was really to make more money and power for themselves pretty much. Jesus never commanded His disciples to make more money and gain political power. The Bible always teaches let God take care of those things and you focus on to love God and people while living a peaceful and diligent life.
2. For the story of David vs. Goliath, you have to know they were in the middle of war. If you?re one of the US soldiers at a battleground which requires physical combats, you have no choice but to fight and kill. So you have to know that they were in a physical combat mode. Also David was not fighting for himself. He was fighting for God. That was exactly why he was able to win. He didn?t need any sword or armors. He only proclaimed the Name of the LORD who Goliath kept blaspheming and used what was in his hand, a sling shot, and still easily could win over the biggest enemy everyone was afraid of. David did kill Goliath, but it was really the Spirit of God that led Israel to the victory.
Since you brought up this story, let me ask you why David refused to fight back against Saul who kept trying to kill David time after time. And why did David just run away from his son, Absalom when he was trying to kill his father, David? David could have just easily killed both of them, but he just kept running away. Why do you think so?
