An enclosure for growing plants? A mini green house?

People like monkeys apparently!

The A/C is probably for the houskeeper's quarters in the garage. A few years ago, one of my neighbors in Northpark kept an Egyptian slave girl in their garage.

[quote author="Astute Observer" date=1222473478]I remember the slave story.... I don't think your neighbors have AC for the poor girl. So what happened to the masters? Did they end up in jail, or it was like a simple slap on the waist?

They are in prision and will probably be deported after release. The 2 most exciting things that happened in Nothpark in my 4 yrs there was Egyptian Slave Girl and Samurai Grocery Bagger. I never met Egyptian Salve Girl but Samurai Grocery Bagger actually bagged my groceries quite a few times.

I don't think this is "to code".

See, that way when you are drinking your margarita by the yard, you can put the container on the table and just walk up the stairs to drink it.

Bad listing pictures are pretty common. Usually though they are due to laziness - e.g. failure to remove clutter, clean, add lighting.

In this case they spent effort to clutter up the picture by opening the dishwasher in order to.... display their dishes, make the room seem smaller. And this is such a good idea it warrants 2 pictures apparently - WTF?

what I like is that it is purely to display them as 'decoration' (to show their "good" taste?) since the plates on the upper rack are too big to close the upper rack of the dishwasher.

After looking at the photos featured on the website I remembered my first experience in owning a similar post war home. I was clueless in construction until I got into the nuts and bolts of these home and found there wasn't any. The dishwasher obviously was a big deal for the seller and he or she makes sure that it is very obvious that this home has a dishwasher. I remembered my first home similar to this did not have one and was a huge deal to have one put in because plumbing was costly to route. May be she nagged her husband for years and he finally put one in.

I wonder what those four cards with labels are for (the ones folded in half, perched on the counters.) Perhaps they are to point out certain upgraded features.

Fair Point..Maybe the dishwasher was a big deal to the current homeowners. But...if that is the case...do their tacky (IMO) dishes need to be in it for the photo??

Actually they're attempting to hide the fact that the dishwasher is mis-matched to the oven and does not have a stainless finish. If it did you would see at least a little overhang of steel on the side of the door.

I think that is correct. I missed the third picture (out of 12) with the open dishwasher... It looks like its white and not stainless.

Geez... how long would it take to pick that stuff up and move it out of the shot? 10 seconds? How frigging lazy can people be?

Hold the phone, Batman. Is that a fieldstone planterbox in the kitchen on the right side? I'd try to draw eyes to the dishwasher, too.
