Do you think bk?s posts are racist in nature ?

NO! People who think he is are the ignorant ones. If they would stop and actually read what he says, instead of getting all up in arms and freaking out, then they would see that this is what he does for a living. But the ones that complain never see this point or refuse to understand it, because they are too busy bitching about woes me he is a racist. Ignorance is bliss.

I can and will.

"This show does well in the 18-34 year old white male demographic. " or " retailer of lifestyle sportswear and dresses targeting style-conscious women between the ages of 25-45" or "is the first and largest dedicated advertising network focusing purely on matching quality advertisers with African American and Urban Latino audiences." or "With focus on Hispanic, African American and urban consumers, .... brings more than 15 years experience servicing Fortune 500 clients with custom media and marketing solutions." or "...Media Group provides you direct access into over 100 of the top Jewish targeted newspapers nationwide."

What BK talks about are the result of demographic studies or marketing studies that almost any company wanting to know what their target market wants in their product does.

It is a fact that MMA "targets" that 18 - 34 year old demogragphic. To run a commercial during one of those shows that does not target that demographic would be stupid and a waste of money.

Just like building homes and a community that does not attract one of your target demographics would be stuipid as well.

Oh please! It's a sorry world when we cannot express our opinions without fear of being called a racist. This "PC" mentality is really getting old. Folks, learn to develop a thicker skin and get over the paranoia.

for those who get offended by bk's comments, i'm just curious... if you opened a business today here in irvine, would you seriously not consider some particular tendencies of 1/3 your customer base? don't tell me a lot of the same things bk has noted here won't also be swirling around in your mind as you think about your business, whether you care to admit it or not.

All I know is that when I priced my house for sale in Irvine, I used numbers that Asians consider lucky.

Does that mean I need to put a white sheet over my head now?

Racist? Yes and no. If you define racist as categorizing groups of individuals together by their race in order to determine future behaviors, culture similarities, and lifestyle preferences, than yes.

If you use the standard, commonly accept belief that racist infers hatred and malcontent towards others than no way in hell.

To say that race has nothing to do with behavior is pure foolishness. Countless studies have been done correlating race with such things as, IQ level, life-span, disease exposure, drop-out rates, etc... These are SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN, not some eutopian fueled flights of fancy. BKShopr deals in the realm of reality. Which I like.

The world needs more realists like bkshoprs and less Jesse Jacksons and David Dukes

Agree with skek.

For example, If you had to promote a Hannah Montana concert, you'd be aiming for preteen girls. I'm sure none of you know who that is unless you have a 12 year old daughter. But trust me, preteen girls love Hannah Montana as much as they love bright pink nail polish and dreaming about marrying Justin Timberlake. The 1% of girls who don't, may find that insulting. And that's ok. It's the other 99% that will fork over their babysitting money for tickets. It is the same with any industry. We have become too overly-sensitive to the things people say and we over-analyze & wrongly-assume their motivations for saying them.

Keep up the good work, Bk.

BK and myself bring perfect balance and harmony to the IHB.

He represents yesterday and I represent today.

C?mon

Who would associate Lexus, Toyota, or Honda as being luxury brands?

BMWs are just average cars here in the OC

Grasshopper,

"Yesterday and Today" were a riot. Both did not bring balance and Harmony to IHB noted by Skek.

Harmony is created by the balance of Ying and Yang and that is us.

You are the shallow and empty pan and I am the Sunny side up!
