Diet Coke

Every day of this long hot week, I have been starting off the morning with a tall glass of diet coke full of ice. Right when I get out of bed, even before I hit the bathroom, I pour a nice dark cup. There is just something so refreshing and invigorating that it delights and tingles my every senses. If you think a diet coke is great at lunch or dinners try it first thing in the morning. I know my mom would KILL me if she ever reads this, and don?t tell my wife either, and I better not let my son see this habit?

Here is my secret diet coke addiction... what are some of yours?

I prefer Diet Dr. Pepper, and yes, I used to drink it first thing in the morning before I grew a taste for coffee.

Your wife really doesn't know what you drink in the morning?

Someone told me that coke zero is like crack and will keep you wired for hours, but since I don't care for sodas most of the time, I'll never know

Coke zero is nothing like crack. Just another diet coke. Pepsi Max on other hand is more like crack -that will give you a nice little kick to get you going. I personally reach for Propel first thing in the morning.

Eating saturated fat we all know is bad. The combination of eating it and drinking a soda with a high sugar content multiplies their lethal effect. At a fast food place try to avoid both at the same time by drinking water or Diet instead.

I am a caffeine soda junkie.

I am all about Diet Coke. Well, any diet cola is fine, it doesn't have to be Coke. It can even be caffeine-free, I don't care. I just love the flavor and the tingly feeling.

Personally I will pass on the Soda. Good strong single cup of Java my preference.

But laughed the other day when I saw somebody order a "Skinny Pirate" at lunch.

Diet Coke and Captain Morgan Rum.

she's off nursing the kid, and I get in a quick fix...

I also drink a good 40oz of diet during these hot days in the car... seems like the more I drink, the thirstier I feel... I know that caffeine dehydrates you, but something is so addicting about Coke, after you take a good sip, you want another, and another? I?m so full, but I just have to keep sipping!! Help?

Hey, don't knock the "Skinny Skipper" - it's an excellent beverage. Just don't tell my Mom or my wife that I drink these ;-)

I'm a "root beer" person. Don't like Coke and Pepsi as much, but if I had a choice, I'd take Coke over Pepsi. But if Root beer is avail I'd always opt for it.

If you dine out at chain restaurants often, I recommend reading the book "Eat this, not that!" by David Zinczenko.

Today I ate at Red Brick Pizza in Quail Hill plaza. It's sort of fast-food ish, but I like their hot sandwiches.

Years ago, I used to start off the day with coffee at work, often on empty stomach. That was quite bad and I've stopped drinking coffee since.

Zip Fizz. It contains 45,000% of your minimum daily requirement of Vitamin B-12. $22.95 for a case of 30 at Costco.

Long time readers are probably aware of my addictions, but since we're talking about crack:
