Not to rub it in, but the Huskies actually lost their last 15 games straight before they won on Saturday.

I somewhat disagree. In prior years the SC defense has stopped teams when it needed to. This time Locker just marched down the field easier than SC did against Ohio state last week. There is no way Maualuga, Mathews and Cushing allow that drive to succeed. The QBs have sucked the big one all year (outside of the cupcake game against SJS).
I think a big part of the problem is the play calling is too conservative, they just need to let Barkley play, Carroll did the same thing to Sanchez last year, the play calling was horrible. With that said, since we now have our one loss and i think the national title pressure is off (we needed to go undefeated to go to the title game since they will take a one loss SEC or Big 12 team ahead of us) i think Carroll will open up the playbook and let the kids play and use their superior athleticism to their advantage.

"Barkley is 48th nationally in passing efficiency (135.06) and has thrown 10 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He is coming off a miserable performance against ASU, completing 7 of 22 passes for 112 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Other than a 75-yard catch-and-run by Damian Williams, Barkley was 6 of 21 for only 37 yards".

Nope, they beat Idaho last week to snap that 15 game losing streak. The game was a perfect example of what can happen if you don't have a good QB running the team.stepping_up said:

I hope you USC fans realize that USC had only 3 snaps in Arizona State Teritory in the ENTIRE GAME.

Shoulda put some money on it in Vegas....you would have gotten like 6-1 odds taking Stanford straight up. It's safe to say that Matt is imploding before our eyes. I hope it at least is a learning experience and he'll improve next year.bltserv said:
