Chick-Fil-A

Is having another customer appreciation week; July 6th ? 10th. From 5:00-8:00pm, just pop on by any OC Chick-fil-A and get a free item for each day. Monday is a Chicken Sandwich; Tuesday is the new Spicy Chicken Sandwich?

We did this the last time; I didn?t post about it because I thought there would be crowds and crowds of people. But, we just pulled right up to an empty drive thru and got free meals? enjoy!

I better get there before SCman. =)

I hate to admit this, but I hit up all three Chick-fil-A, the district, the marketplace and woodbury... we score that night with the nuggets! have fun!

Alright, tonight at Woodbury was crowded! Just curious; who buys other foods along with the free sandwich? I think they are pretty smart, I bet they come out ahead; at least they are building a lot of good will, and I am certainly a very loyal customer.

Haven't been there there this week, I'll try to hit them up on Thursday or Friday...what's free those days? They have yummy criss-cut fries.

Probably everybody. They're going to want a drink with that sandwich and don't beverages have the highest mark-up?

Speaking of CFA... they recently had a promotion where you buy a meal and then you get a voucher for the same meal free the following month (I think this was in June.) My husband took advantage of this and went back for the free meal. He was LOL'ing because the line went out the door and he noticed everybody in it was white. And this was the Woodbury CFA! I wonder what that's all about.

Friday, July 10: Go into any Chick-fil-A dressed as a cow and receive a free meal. See: Cow Appreciation Day for more info.

CFA in Woodbury does have nearly an all white clientele. However, I wonder how many of them actually live in Irvine. Based on what I've seen there (El Toro HS clothing, families with several children approximately 9 mos. apart in age, breast feeding in the restaurant, overhearing conversations about Lake Forest / Saddleback issues, etc), I believe many of the patrons at the Woodbury CFA are not Irvine residents. I suspect it is the Southern Christian conservative vibe of the place that attracts white people, even ones who don't live nearby.

I appreciate the heads up. Never have been to the place before last night. It was basically a big piece of fried chicken on a bun. It comes dry and with pickles. I asked about lettuce and tomato and it costs 39cents for that. I splurged!

When you get to the window, they have different types of condiments. I chose the BBQ one and was okay. It was basically deep fried, greasy fast food and very filling. No lines at the district. That's my take.

Tonite is nugget night. I might have to skip it, even though it seems like it was worth three trips to three different locations last year!

I have to admit that I take my kids there probably once every two weeks during the past two years. They just love the food and the play structure there. They have a very diverse crowd consistently. I actually went there at 730pm Monday afternoon after work, and the drive through line snake around the entire parking lot in front of it. Interestingly, I noticed the crowd / cars / people in the car are kind of different then the typical crowd I have seen. I waited for a long time, and decided I won't go back for the promotion as it is not worth the 15 mins wait for a $3.5 sandwich.

I've been eating at CFA since Jr. High. The first CFA that I ate at was in Cerritos Mall. Their chicken is a bit dry, but tasty.

our wait last night was about 10 minutes at the CFA in Woodbury... decided to go in this time cause the drive thru backed up entire parking lot... inside was a zoo... never have we seen so many families and stressed out workers... A lot, I mean a lot of people just got the free food and didn't buy anything... so we saw a lot of kids eyeing my soft serve while we were waiting for our nuggets...

Yeah, the last 2 days we've only got the free item w/o purchasing anything, but tonight I think we'll at least get some fries. Normally we'd eat there every couple of weeks, but our financial situation has changed recently, so we've obviously cut back :)

For the Lake Forest/El Toro crowd, there is a new CFA under construction in Foothill Ranch, previously it was a Wendy's (next to Target and Del Taco).

Are you trying to lessen the long lines at CFA in Woodbury? =)

Am I the only one who does not like Chic-Fil-A? I went when they first opened for their free breakfast every friday, but after three tries, I decided not to go back for the rest of the promotion. Even though Chic Fil-A was free with no line, I preferred going to McDonald's to pay and wait for an egg McMuffin. I did, however, prefer the coffee at Chic Fil-A.

No, you're not the only one. I, also, am not a fan of CFA. I tried one of their sandwiches. It was tasty but really didn't fill me up. Hey, their coffee is better than McD's? I am going to give it a try next time.

love everyting about this organization. Great sandwiches, tasty fries, always throwin out freebies or deals to the public. Only drawback is they're closed sundays but that's prob best for my lipid count anyways....

Per Fast Food Maven (OC Register):

"Chick-fil-A August meal deal

If you make a purchase on any Friday in August at a Chick-fil-A in Orange County, keep your receipt.

If you bring the receipt back any time later in August, you will get the same order listed on the receipt for free. Chick-fil-A has locations in Orange, Irvine, Tustin, La Habra and Santa Ana. The Woodbury Town Center Chick-fil-A in Irvine is not participating in the August promotion.

7/28 update: On Labor Day, Woodbury Chick-fil-A will give a free Chick-fil-A Original Sandwich to anyone wearing a logo of their favorite sports team.

Opening alert: The opening date for the Foothill Ranch Chick-fil-A is September 3."

I wonder why Woodbury isn't participating. Booooo.
