Broncos vs Seahawks - Super Bowl 48

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
And they didn't even get the ball, possible career ending injury and they blew the call, that sucks.

i think the broncos will win. it seems like destiny. Manning will get his second ring and will go down as the greatest of all time (which i think he is already). If the playoffs was the only thing that mattered Mark Sanchez would be a top ten greatest of all time with his four road playoff victories.

Seattle is likely going to win.

They probably have the best secondary ever assembled.  4 pro bowlers at every position back there.

that means denver won't have mismatches in their 3 and 4 wide personnel packages.

Plus the Seattle offense is built for ball control - meaning keeping Manning on the sidelines watching where he can't score points.

Everyone likes Denver because they score points - however, their defense has been garbage (last game being the exception).  SD exposed how a team with a strong running game can beat them.  Hell - they even lost to the Colts this year - and the colts suck (playoffs not withstanding).
+1  Seattle will win because their defense will smoother Payton and it'll probably be cold outside which also favors Seattle.  I'm taking the under and Seattle.  The public money is going on Denver and the smart money will go on Seattle.  Right now you can find Seattle +2.5pts, but I'll wait to bet it once the spread is +3pts.

@USC:

Are you saying it gets colder in Seattle than in Denver?
I'm saying the colder it gets in Jersey, the higher the chances that Seattle will win.  Payton mostly played in a domed stadium most of his career and didn't play well when it gets really cold outside, including last year's home game against Baltimore in the playoffs.  Seattle's defense has done a great job against pocket passers this year.

Hehe... looks like you read this:

I personally don't think the cold will affect Payton as much as Seattle's defense. In one game with everything on the line, I feel the weather will affect both teams the same so I don't think it's an advantage to either.

I do think Payton will have a much harder time because he is less mobile than Kaep (which is why SF had a chance against SEA) and although I like Russell Wilson, he was unimpressive last Sunday. But like against SF, I do think Marshawn will be the Lynchpin (pun!).

I just hope it's a good game since the last 2 were close. I don't like blowouts.

Sorry Bones... I was talking about the coach of NO. :)

I understand that the cold will affect Menning (heh) but I think it will affect Wilson too.

And then there is the experience factor. To me, Wilson looked a bit frazzled last Sunday.

And it's called "seasoned"... not "old" (that's what I tell myself).

Russel is definitely not a great quarterback and Pete's goal with him is to manage the game and not lose it.  Kind of like the QBs that played for Tampa Bay and Baltimore with the great defenses.  I think that Seattle's defense will disrupt Peyton into making at least 1 or 2 mistakes (INT and/or fumble).

russell wilson has sucked the big one the second half of the season including last week. seattles D is tough but id rather take my chances with manning.  its much easier to stop the passing game of a second year QB who has no touch and doesnt read the field like the greatest of all time.

I think Russell Wilson is at least as good as andrew luck.  Who does he have to throw to?  would you pick any of his receivers on your fantasy team?  His TE?  Luck gets all the publicity because he was the number 1 pick, but no one can argue with Wilson's W/L record.  He doesn't care about stats - nor should any QB - the only one that matters is if your team won.

The guy manages the game and makes plays when he needs to.  He typically doesn't have those meltdown games throwing 3 or 4 picks that Luck, Kaepernick and RG3 have all had. Plus he has dealt with just as many injuries as any of the other guys on his team and yet the team doesn't miss a beat.  Everyone is useful but no one is necessary.

your nuts man. wilson is not in the same league as luck. switch them out and put them on the others team and Indy would not have made the playoffs.

I think it's pretty obvious by my Avatar who I want winning the SB.  :P

Hopefully, the Seattle defense can disrupt Manning early and make him uncomfortable, especially if Sherman stops his trash talking and gets himself back in the game.  Otherwise, it could be a long day.

The offense will have to really show up for this game.  Hope Harvin will contribute in this game.

I could be very wrong but between San Fran and Denver, I feared SF more.
