eBay price has gone down significantly from last month.  Can still make profit though, but with fees/seller risk on eBay, more likely break even.
 
checked the expected delivery again right now. still says early May. i was hoping that it would get moved up but no luck so far.
 
Getting spoiled with the voice control, wish it can be applied to my TV, PS4, dishwasher, laundry, etc.. Xbox one has voice but it sucks compared to Alexa.  Maybe the next iOS update they can change the "Hey Siri" to be function-able even without power source.  Moving Alexa to the Fire Phone would be the next natural progression.

hmmm, one useful update, one gimmicky update... but still better than Siri, wish it's portable.
 
Ps9 - any new features on the echo? Still waiting for mine. Website still says early May for it to ship.
 
Nothing major, always a 'wow' when we have friends over, kids seem to like it.  I usually play jazz or hear news updates on it.  Main plus is still the voice control, one less remote to look for when you have to turn off 5 gadgets before leaving the house. At $100 it's a no brainer, especially if you have prime and or buy music on Amazon.  Don't expect much upgrades... Amazon is not Apple, I doubt this will be anything more than a 'cool' music player.
 
PS9 - so do you find you use your echo a decent amount? or is just collecting dust now? mine is arriving today. ill likely use it daily as a speaker to listen to sports radio in the morning while im getting ready.
 
Use it about every day, voice recognition pick up is still strong across the room, found my remote again, so I'm happy (in my kids toy room!). 

I have music credit at Amazon due to the prime we ship you slower but give you a dollar for music option.  Still better than Siri IMO.

How's the Echo?  You can sync your iHeartradio or Pandora account now.  Checking weather while getting my daughter ready for school is handy.  Make sure you get the app on your iPhone, that helps.  My favorite command is "Alexa, play some music"
 
I really like it, pretty basic but worth the $100. got the weather for the day and news headlines as I was changing a diaper. Listened to 710 am though the iPhone. I can't wait until I can order stuff through it.
 
this is what i have been waiting for. no you can order stuff from amazon using Echo.

Ohhhhhh fancy.  Does this mean it will work like a Sonos and I can have Alexa Base Station + 2 Echo Dots in my house and throughout the home it will synchronously play music through all of the speakers? 

I just got a lot more interested if that's the case.  The thing that's not clear from the product page is the "Synchronous" part, which is a big deal.
