No more automatic 55 electoral votes to the Dems?
Feds will never give up the farmland or the military bases.
Only way it goes thru is if Trump decides he can steal it back and make us pay.
Maybe someone will actually know where Alta is and these will be hot little sellers.
The only need to campaign in California for the presidential election is to get on the ticket which is usually decided before we vote anyway. Not sure Hillary would have done so well if we actually did get campaigning here. Also not so sure Trump despises us since we do send more money than we get back from the Feds.
Let the Bay area go. They are a bunch of odd ballers anyway.

Isn't the feeling mutual, though? I'm pretty sure Trump despises CA for having gone so strong for Hillary.
Secession has been coming up for a long time and is not new to CA. Most of the grip comes from the fact that we have negative flow of federal dollars (rather than objections to federal policy).
