Orchard Hills 4 - "The Summit" Updates

FDR did it to Japanese Americans in a time of war and he’s lionized in history - why can’t Trump do this to actual foreign nationals from a powerful adversary that has agency over their futures by the ability to threaten their families in China?

Orchard Hills 4 - "The Summit" Updates

It will crash Irvine, Arcadia, San Marino, Palo Alto and much of SiValley, but not South OC as it’s virtually all white homeowners down here.

Orchard Hills 4 - "The Summit" Updates

All Chinese nationals should be deported and have their property confiscated - just like FDR did to Japanese Americans in WW2. At least Trump would be confining the action to actual foreign citizens and there would be no internment camps, just a one way ticket.

    Presidential Elections

Many Chinese nationals at USC when I was there were children of “high party officials” , told to me by a Chinese national whose parents did not have such status.

Johns Creek ranks #1 Best Place to Live by U.S. News & World Report

I’m sure it is amazing like so many communities across the South and Texas, but like everywhere outside CA the weather sucks for at least half the year. It’s a pragmatic choice for families that don’t want or can’t afford to pay a premium for what CA offers.

Just checked inventory in Newport - $5M and under has 163 properties - that’s a lot. One close to $5M Port Streets house has been sitting for close to 1 month.

    ICE or EV?

“Dialing down software investments .” Why? No hope of ever building a team to compete with Tesla - it’s just wasted R&D investment. It’s not just UI but actual natively software controlled elements of the car. No automaker will ever be able to put together that kind of software talent. Ever...

    ICE or EV?

I use FSD 90% of the time and it’s 90%+ autonomous. Sometimes it will mistake a right lane exit only lane as a regular lane but otherwise it handles everything. I drive up and back from San Jose frequently and it makes a huge difference.

    ICE or EV?

Tesla is a good stock for the long term , as is Meta, for a simple reason that’s hard to comprehend for those without a deep understanding of what it takes to build high performing software teams: they both have huge teams of pretty much the highest caliber sw talent in the Valley. And Tesla has...

    Portola Springs fire risk?

Growing up in Pasadena I learned the cardinal rule of Southern CA real estate: never buy anywhere near a hillside because we saw them burn from our front yard 2 miles south of Altadena every few years. Very expensive areas like Kinneloa also burned but again that neighborhood violates the...

San Carlos is prime mid-peninsula - killer art and wine festival every year. $3M seems like an avg price there when the avg 2 earner household brings home close to $1M/yr. Something doesn’t add up - may be a location issue.

    Dango and Mochi at Mitsuwa

Not as good as the jamon bellota samples at High Times Cellars this afternoon . BTW, went to the Irvine Gelson’s for sushi today and was blown away by the quality. Young Japanese female sushi chef. Tuna is akami, king salmon, blue crab for the rolls, and 10 beers in tap. Hidden gem of Irvine.
