    American girl place

I totally get everyone's point of view here, except that I can't really figure out what childplease is trying to do other than annoy. I appreciate Nude, Bk and CZ very much for their opinions and since I knew nothing of "American Girl" before this, thanks all for the education.

    American girl place

My son's best friend (a five year old girl) is growing up in a very socially progressive family and her parents were adamantly opposed to dolls and all such things that are exclusively labeled "for girls", to the point that my son's friend never even wore dresses. Along came her 5th birthday...

    Sedona

I'll check out a different route but when it comes to long car rides with little kids, the faster the better. The original plan was to leave at about 6:00 pm, drive for 4 hours and crash at a cheap motel and then wake up in the morning and finish the drive.

    another stunt bungee ropes failure?

Of course, it is a suicide as there was no way to make sure that he actually died in a Santa Ana hospital. This thread's for you, Bk!

How much "car" would you buy?

Yeah, but it would probably be a lot better if she were just into expensive shoes ;-)

Best Place to Raise Kids in California

Do not fear Irvinites. Although I really don't care to live in Irvine, there's just something about the fact that you can find any type of activity, for any age, at just about any time of day that keeps sucking even me in. Yeah, it must have been the affordability issue.

    Sedona

Thanks for the suggestions. The Grand Canyon is definitely on the list, I hadn't heard of the Meteor Crater, so I'll look it up and maybe we'll check it out. Anymore ideas? It looks like we are driving with two small kids, our longest car trip ever. I think we're going to leave a day early and...

    Sedona

The whole family is spending the week after Christmas in Sedona. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or favorite places we should visit.

Ever been to Rosarito Beach in Mexico?

I believe that you actually do need passports now, but who knows once you get down there if they are really enforcing the new law. Anyway, you actually might want to rent a car and pay the extra insurance in case of problems, unless like Nude says, you have an older car that you don't care about...

I watched it so you don't have to tear you eyes out..."Million Dollar Listing"

Okay, Madison is definitely living in LALALand. Convincing that woman to lease her home because she can sell when the "market comes back" was absurd. He has no reason, other than stupidity for suggesting this, he honestly believes the market is just going to magically return to where it was very...

O.C. owners of Irvine Spectrum restaurant accused of tax fraud

Overall, there are so many people ripping off the government by accepting only cash. Just head over to Little Saigon and try buy lunch with a credit card. I recently went to a very large and very busy Pho restaurant in Fountain Valley and I just casually handed the hostess my credit card without...

How much "car" would you buy?

I think it also depends on how long you intend to drive the same car. I generally give myself at least 10 years with a car and therefore I tend to splurge a little bit knowing that I won't be replacing it for a very long time. I usually go for the all of the "extras", leather, navi system etc...
