NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Stop snowflaking. Cali is now the 4th largest economy... so adapt or get out.

Did you find a Long Beach in any other state? Neither can anyone else... so Cali is where it's at.

So you’re good with the highest unemployment, highest taxes, highest regulatory bureaucracy, highest homelessness, most drug addicts, highest gas and energy prices, highest outmigration, one of the biggest budget deficits , highest housing and rental rates, high crime and illegal immigration, lowest test scores and dumbest kids, so we can grow the economy?…that’s adaptation? That’s failure. 👎🏽😡🦄🌈

I think the point morekaos is trying to make is that California could be great in all aspects, not just weather/location.

If California took a more moderate approach to taxes and operating business environment it would be in a much better place - kind of like a business that maintains lower profit margins but makes it up on volume (think In-N-Out).

It would probably run huge budget surpluses every year. But as we know, politicians can’t help themselves and will do anything to maintain power and here we are. The state tends to luck out just by the sheer size of the population. There are so many people here that there are always up and coming businesses that help the CA economy grow (or maintain its size) but then when they become a mature business the tend to leave the state.

But if that was the case, cost of living would even be higher because everyone would want to live here.

It's the circle of life.

No state is perfect.
that’s the problem, the cost of living here is not being driven by demand alone. It’s being driven by stupid shortsighted, government, bureaucracy, taxes, and over regulation….self inflicted wounds with no real benefit.
