A man’s body was found on a sidewalk in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday at the site of recent protests and lootings, police said.

Police received a call around 1:30 a.m. to West 3rd Street and Broadway, where the unresponsive man, who has yet to be identified, was found, the LAPD said.

The investigation area covers a T-Mobile store at the intersection of the street that was looted during the violent anti-ICE protests that erupted across the city.

Moving the Israel/Iran conflict here as it's more on topic and not something that is to blame on Trump.

I guess morekaos can say this is not a "new" war... but still any conflict is troubling.

I'm concerned this is going to lead to bigger things so hopefully someone can stop this.
 
Earlier this week, a raving lunatic lunged at DHS Secretary Kristi Noem during a press conference and the Secret Service quickly tackled and arrested this unhinged individual. As it turns out, this deranged activist was Senator Alex Padilla of California and the news media couldn't resist talking about how authoritarian our country is when a Senator can't threaten a member of the President's cabinet.

Fast forward to today, and a man has assassinated a politician in Minnesota and her husband, as well as shooting another politician and his wife who remain in critical condition. I'm wondering how the media is going to continue defending the ridiculous actions of Senator Padilla in light of the targeted political killings that have now happened only a couple days later.

Stealthally referring to poiltical affiliations in the 1st paragraph and using the description "Raving lunatic" but avoidance of political sides in the 2nd and no condemnation of the assassin.

Not sure how you can compare the two but bias is what bias does.

The killer is still on the loose despite exchanging gunfire with officers who responded to Hortman’s home and briefly cornered him inside, though he left behind a “manifesto” listing the names of other politicians and a stack of papers stating “No Kings” in reference to the nationwide anti-Trump protests.

The attack was clearly a “politically motivated assassination,” according to Walz, but officials were mum on the motives — though it came just five days after Hortman sided with Republican leaders as the lone Democrat to cut access to state health benefits for illegal immigrants in the North Star State.

Too early to figure out what political side, if any, he belongs to.

Wow... This just blew up in IHO's face. The reason I didn't point out the political affiliation is because nothing was known about the killer at the time I posted, not even his name. Waiting for facts is the prudent thing to do, but IHO isn't known for acting wisely in these situations.
 
Reading is fundamental. I said nothing about the killer's political leanings, just the fact that you did not condemn his actions as you did Padilla.

But the victims were Democrat and you conveniently left that out... which is why I said it was interesting.

You were so fast to call a Democrat a "raving lunatic" but not so fast to call out the political affiliations of the murdered victims which at the time the press was saying politically motivated. I guess I didn't realize how far right you really are. But it makes sense now considering your other opinions.

Which is fine... again... nothing wrong with leaning either way so there is no "fault" here... I would hope people would be equally fair in pointing out deficits on both sides.... which most of the right leaning other than SGIP tend not to do.

Just found the way you phrased your post interesting... and now you have shown why.
