I'm afraid I don't know anything about the "new place"... I haven't even been lurking so this whole forums closing deal is brand new news to me.

I've got all the hours back now that I was sinking into coaching two baseball teams so I can play in the forums a little more.

Unfortunately for Graphy-Cakes, the MLP franchise crumbled under his mis-management and will be on the outside looking in during playoffs... It was a nice name though!

It's been good, thanks for asking. My son likes his teacher and has been enjoying what he has been doing in class. I can already see an improvement in his writing... Doesn't like the homework much but we have been punching out the whole week's worth on Monday or by Tuesday at the latest...

Wow, my son's elementary school had the 2nd biggest growth in IUSD and improved from 5th lowest in the district to around the middle of the pack. I get to start caring now that he is finally a kindergartener...

Sample size is still pretty small. Closing volume has slowed to a crawl...

If he can hit a pitched baseball consistently (and with power of course) and catch line drives I want him for my Spring baseball team! Those skills have challenged the heck out of the boys on my Fall roster... I could use another stud player.

Yup, my son is signed up to play Winter K-1st hoops. Fall baseball ends right before Thanksgiving and hoops will start a few weeks after. They have been playing on 8' rims but plan on using 6'6" rims for that age group so they can learn and use more natural shooting mechanics...

NP Square has an awesome park, right in the middle of it, for the kiddies... I take my boys over there to play sometimes. It is one of their favorite parks in Irvine. Personally, I wouldn't buy in NP Square. Bit too cramped for me. Lots seem really small on average.
