Harvard Square

Recently we came across Harvard Square community in Irvine. Does anybody has any experience with this community? How does feel noisewise, amenities, neighborshood divercity, is it family friendly, etc?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like our fellow member IPO knows quite a bit about Harvard Square based upon the following thread:

Even if you type "Harvard Square" you get a million irrelevant threads. I admit - I'm not the savviest internet user :(

Wow, I stop blogging for a while and my home turf, Harvard Square, pops up on a bunch of threads... I've been renting in HS for over a year now new2. We will look to buy here when the time is right... Decent homes, good lots, nice people, well-run association, etc.

I wouldn't have made an offer on the house on Indiana. I considering bidding for another there and found the traffic noise too great. It's not only Walnut and Harvard, but mucho Jamboree noise and less insulated from train noise that comes up Harvard. We rent on an interior culdeac, close to the park, and the noise from the 5 and from Jamboree is about as loud as I would like.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the development.

NBA is starting up again... any predictions?</blockquote>
Yeah, Lakers will take it all!

I rent in Harvard Square, too and I like it. Some units are too close to traffic noise and I would avoid those. Most of the people have met are friendly. There seem to be lots of pets and kids. The elelmentary school is pretty good. My experience in Irvine is limited, we've only been here a little over a year, so I can't judge is versus other neighborhoods very well. We will consider buying here when it's time.
