It's been over a month since I've been laid off and I have yet to see a single unemployment insurance payment.
Called in to ask what the issue was, said I didn't look for work in last week of April so they have to setup an interview to ask why. (No interview was actually setup or communicated to me, I had to call in).
I told the EDD agent politely that I was still employed by the company that week and, EDD had already sent me a letter indicating that I'm not eligible for unemployment benefits for that week due to earned income.
EDD agent tired to withdraw claim for that week and process my latter claim... no work. Must setup an appointment and speak with someone to review.
EDD agent put in request for interview... and cannot get date/time from their system. I "may" be notified by Monday with my appointment date/time which is usually in 2 weeks. Eh?
So EDD already sent me a letter indicating that I am not eligible to receive UI benefits for that week, but they cannot process my claim request because I didn't look for work in that week, but I was still employed by my previous employer that week? Eh?
