Long Beach Post News Article:Have a misdemeanor warrant hanging over your head? LBPD wants to help you clear it
?The department has been working to clear its backlog of misdemeanor and traffic warrants out of the system. Any person with a traffic or non-violent misdemeanor warrant issued by the LBPD can go to the event on Aug. 3 and will be issued a new citation and be given a new court date to handle their violation.
Police have helped more than 185 people clear their warrants in the last three events, according to the LBPD.
?We are pleased with the success of the past warrant servicing events and look forward to providing our community with another opportunity to clear their record of any non-violent warrants,? said Lt. Dina Zapalski.
Warrants that are not eligible to be cleared include: a warrant for any felony crime, a misdemeanor warrant involving violence (domestic violence, crime involving a firearm or resisting arrest) or a misdemeanor warrant that involves a violation of a restraining, protective, or stay away order.
The warrant clearing event will be in Parking Lot 1 of the Long Beach City College Pacific Coast Campus at 1305 East Pacific Coast Highway on Aug. 3 from 1 to 6 p.m.?

Man punches anti-Trump protestor outside rally, crowd chants 'lock him up!'
A Kentucky man has been charged with assault after punching a protestor in the face during a rally for President Trump on Thursday, according to WCPO.
The victim, 61-year-old Mike Alter, was protesting with a crowd outside of the event at Cincinnati's U.S. Bank Arena when the incident occurred. That's when Dallas Frazier, 29, reportedly pulled up in a pickup truck and confronted Alter, eventually punching him multiple times.
Video of the altercation shows Frazier exiting the truck's passenger seat as him and Alter begin yelling at one another. Police stated that Frazier then approached Alter and said, "You want some?"

There were like around 10 cops that arrested him. Didn?t the guy see the cops? He got out of his car and starts hitting the guy. So like when the guy was arrested people were chanting lock him up. Ha
