Portola Springs - Paloma

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not too stoked about these ads being posted. Asianinvasion, what's your deal?

First of all this is typing. Second of all, I wasn't trying to spell Irvine. Some people add the -ite on the end of their city names to indicate they're from there. Example: Fullertonite.

Seriously...I'm with flmgrip. Dissing screen names? Uberlame.

And since I'm awake and I can, I'll do the honors for EvaL:

Anyhow, I might go just to try to win the spa gift certificate. I can always use a massage.

It's a New Beginning For Paloma at Portola Springs in Irvine

If great design is evolutionary, then get ready for the changes at the Portola Springs® neighborhood of Paloma, where homeshoppers are invited to attend the weekend of February 2nd Re-Grand Opening!

"On Saturday, February 2, starting at 10:00 a.m., Paloma's popular Residence One will debut, complete with exciting new enhancements and impressive changes," said Adrian Foley, division president for Brookfield Homes, the homebuilder of Paloma. "The improvements were made as a direct result of the evolving needs and expectations of our prospective buyers. The original two-bedroom, 2.5 baths, 1,723-square-foot single-level home has been dramatically altered to accommodate the suggestions we've received."

The new upstairs Master Bathroom has no bath??? Just a shower??? What's up with that???

So if I wanted the privacy of an upstairs Master Bedroom, I go without a nice bathtub? Sucks if you ask me...

irvine_native - I think my wife would say that a master bathroom or a master closet can never be too large, nor can one be too rich or too thin.

You know - my user name is Palomalove. Yes - I love their homes and the floor plans especially the kitchen on plan 2. I would love to own a Paloma house.

But ...the Mello roos in this place is about 6500 per year ...that is $541.66 per month and also the HOA is at $436 per month. So - apart from your mortgage payment which will be around 5000 something, you almost have to pay approx 1000 dollars on HOA and Mello Ross. ...beats me. I'm not that rich. I consider it like making dollar paper boats and floating them in the recent rain waters...a few thousand of those.

So, I dont know if its worth it buying a house here this year. Maybe after 5-6 yrs when Portala Springs is all developed, the HOA and Mello Roos will not be this much. But yeah - the house prices may be higher. so what. .I'll probably be richer by then too.
