I got it installed with our shutters since the shutter company we used also do retractable screen doors. But I think you can get it cheaper from Lowe's and Home Depot.

We installed a retractable screen door in our garage for the door going from the garage to the backyard, I just leave that door open and the garage is a lot cooler. Retractable screen doors are approved by our HoA.

If done properly the Chinese way, then you wouldn't even need to be on a waiting list....

Basically just told me they have no information as of now as to what is going to happen. That my son still has a few years before starting elementary so just wait and see what happens. My plan is to start taking my son to the park and try to mingle with the other Asian parents there and see...

So you guys made me paranoid enough to call IUSD to ask to put my 2.5 year old on the waiting list for Stonegate Elementary. I'm being told they can't put my 2.5 year old on the waiting list yet.....which I expected. At least it was worth a try.  :P

I ended up going with Tompkins flooring for the whole house. Overall, they did a pretty good job. Went with Tompkins because other flooring contractors were either too expensive or was not interested in doing my flooring....

I just got my garage epoxied by Garage Experts as well not too long ago. Anyone noticed that there are air bubbles? I just found two, but not sure if it's normal.....

Lucky - I'm in San Mateo. Landscaping is the last thing on our to-do list. Once landscaping is done, we will have officially completed everything we wanted to do to the house and can finally sit back and relax and enjoy the house.

I just called John and he's coming tomorrow for an estimate. He knew right away where I am so I guess he is familiar with Stonegate. I made sure I mentioned Rommel referred me.  ;)

For people who ordered shutters from China like zubs or z4fanatic, how do you like those shutters? How is the quality? Can you share where you got those made in China shutters from? I'd like to get a quote for my house too.....

So besides KS' Landscaping, which other landscaping companies would you people on this board recommend? I'd appreciate some good referrals so I can shop around for my landscaping....

Regarding your question on flooring, we have been quoted from the Design Center around 25K for tiles downstairs and laminate upstairs. From an outside contractor, we have been quoted roughly 10K, but I'm sure we can still find a cheaper contractor.

Did you need to get approval first from the HOA where you install your dish?

When you buy a new contrusction house, do you do your landscaping immediately or do you normally have to wait for the soil on the house to settle before doing your landscaping? I'm reading the HOA papers for Stonegate right now and they give you one full year to do your landscaping. Is this to...
