I have been getting regular e-mails from Ziprealty, forwarding new results for searches that I have set up on their website. The agent has been very responsive and helpful whenever I have contacted her. Does anyone have any experience with Ziprealty? I'm admittedly ignorant about the whole buyer's agent process, so I'd appreciate any feedback.

zip is pretty cool. my agent was ok. but they are still agent all the same, and they only get paid when you buy the house and close the deal. you might get a good agent or you might get a bad agent just luck of the draw i guess.

jb,

Thanks! "My" agent, who I can name via whisper if you'r curious, is pretty responsive and informative - warning me off condos on leased land or SFRs that needed extensive remodels or work due to vandalism or neglect.

We bought our first house using Zip. I would use Zip again. It does depend on your agent though. Our first agent sucked so we "fired" her and the second agent was great. He was perfectly willing to submit our offers which at the time were considered lowballs.

When you close, they give you 20% of the commission.
