Who was your favorite Rock N Roll Band in your teens?

In terms of some more modern stuff, I like Blink 182.

Papa Roach (great workout sound and WWE theme song).

Gotta give some love to a local band...Korn.

And last but not least...Linkin Park (another great workout song).

[quote author="no_vaseline" date=1247472234]The Duran Duran show last night looked/sounded exactly like the video for "The Reflex" except no wave crashing over the crowd. Also, there was a sea of iPhones ruining my view. And everyone is 25 years older.

Also, Simon LeBon has not aged gracefully. Still......a good time!</blockquote>

The first record that I ever bought (not the kiddy kind that my parents bought for us) was Duran Duran - arena. I think Simon was my first crush and my neighbor was mad about Nick. That was followed up by Purple Rain. Sigh...I heart 80's music.

o_O

I was a big KISS fan back in the 80's, but not strictly a rock 'n roll guy. Also listened to New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Frankie goes to Hollywood, Sabrina Salemo (Boys/Summertime Love), etc. If you've never seen the Sabrina "boys" MV, it's NSFW.

If there's any old timer JPOP fans, I've collected every PSY-S CD since listening to Lemon no Yuuki (1987). Most of them aren't even opened. ^_^;;

This one is not a Rock n Roll band, but a top K-Hip hop artist in my late teens. This is one of the best korean songs ever, if not THE BEST! "Wrongful Meeting" by Kim Gun MO release year 1995.

I still remember listening to VERY early Pink Floyd and my Dad freaking out.

"What the hell is that crap your listening to"

The Album with the Cow on it. Atom Heart Mother. Released in 1970. So I was 14.

Had Dark Side of the Moon in Quadraphonic 8-Track. 1973.

Led Zep. Jethro Tull. Black Sabbath.

Way back then my era was Rock N Scroll.

The first concert I was allowed to go to without an older sibling was " A day on the green" with Madness, the Fixx, Thompson Twins, Oingo Boingo and the Police. It was the Ghost in the Machine tour, and I was 13. I was a big fan of the new wave stuff back in the day, Bowie, Frankie Goes to Hollywood - (I dated their bass played when I was living in London) OMD, The Smiths, English Beat, Erasure, Dire Straights, Ultravox, Eurythmics, Yaz, Depeche...who I saw for the first time live, 2 weeks before I turned 16. I spent the night cutting off peoples rat tails and trying not to get caught and the living crap beat out of me. Which truthfully, I probably deserved. I was big into ska at the time and my vespa covered with mirrors was my prize possession. I thought I was very Quadrophenia

The Waterboys, Mike Scott, Crowded House, Split Enz, Kate Bush and of course U2. U2... was the very very first concert I ever went to. It was the WAR tour, and I guess I was 11 or 12. My older sister took me.

Oingo Boingo played at my Jr. Prom...

I lived in Seattle from 91 to 96 so I was also a big fan of the grunge scene. As I got older I tended to prefer bands who actually played their own instruments. I saw them all, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden.. who I once saw at the Tacoma Dome and then saw again later the same evening in a bar called Mo's on Capital Hill.

The best concert I ever went to was Bruce Springsteen with my older sister, I didnt really like him then, though I do like him now... but the show was 4 hours long, with no breaks or intermissions. Hes really quite a performer.

Ive taken BK to see Dave Matthews Band a couple of times but the fug of pot smoke is tough for him to handle. Last time we went he ran into some people he worked with at THE COMPANY THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED who from what he told me, decided he was way cooler than they thought.
