My buddy (white guy) from school put down African American since his parents are from South Africa and they immigrated here.  I guess technically he is not lying..

I always wondered if I would have been accepted to Stanford of the big 3 Ivys if I put down that I was Hispanic or African American.  They didn't have a European Immigrant box to check.  haha

If I have asian kids, but they (1) don't look asian and (2) don't have asian names (nor do their parents) -- would they ever get caught if they applied as caucasians?

Besides, we know that race is now fluid, so we all can make plausible claims.
