So it looks like her threads, posts, and member name are gone... was this an admin thing or did she delete her own account?

While I understand the responses to her (I had a few myself regarding spamming)... I thought she was going to rough it out.

Tough crowd here... it made things interesting... and now we'll never know if USC could have match.com'ed.
 
Based on the conversations and potential interesting/ongoing threads with Indie, it wouldn't surprise me if it was nonFCB in disguise...  :-X
 
I was actually surprised how easy this crowd was on her.  She would have gotten far worse on some other forums.  I don't think it has to do with being a realtor so much as shamelessly plugging her business while offering nothing of value to the discussion.  Most of the other realtor/mortgage types that get business from this forum have offered hours of their time giving tips that can potentially save us all a lot of money.  She was also a liar as pointed out by IndieDev, by claiming to be rich yet needing to make a living.  Her claim of getting business from this board after a couple days of spamming was the one that had me laughing the hardest.

That was a strategic decision she and I decided last night. we'll be back...hater.

Agreed, we would have been hazed 10x harder over on IHB in the good old days.  She was fiesty and fought back which I respect.  I hope she makes it back on here but with a little less in your face marketing.

Nope. No alterations from admin. Looks like this member may have deleted some of their posts and changed their name to "Irvine123456".

She thought she could just join TI, post a pretty picture, talk about how working with her would be all flowers and rainbows and bunny rabbits, and expect to get clients that way. I don't have a lot of respect for that strategy. Plus, she came across as dishonest about the wealth thing and the house thing. Honesty goes a long way.

I did have a little chuckle at her "thank you to all my new clients" post. Something to the effect of, "I got so many new clients from TI! Of course, none of them will post on this thread, but they all totally exist, so THANK YOU!"
 
Just like traceimage said,  I don't even think she was hazed.  She was asked pretty simple questions but didn't really provide any decent answers.

Should also be noted that her FB page (the realtor one) is also gone or just hidden from non subscribers.  I'm beginning to wonder if someone at Metro Estates saw something considering all the chatter happened on the weekend and then come Monday, its gone.  However, her personal FB is still alive and well.

I don't know what she was expecting and hope she stays for the long haul but only if she decides to bring more to the table then just asking if I need a realtor.
 
It was a question of substance. Anyone is welcome here, even people who speak primarily using emoticons, but at least have something to say. We can only tolerate so much rubbish before it begins to crowd out everything else.

I LOVE REAL ESTATE and DO YOU HAVE FACEBOOK?!?  #:-) are my new catchphrases Du jour. Something of value was added to the community by our missing realtor.

Didn't you use to cry about being hazed? I guess switching schools paid off...OCR-who?

You and BK --- head to head.  I don't even remember what it was about, but I'm sure its buried somewhere in the depths of this website.  I'm just too lazy to go find it.  But I'm sure you remember.  I'm not passing any judgement on anyone here, just stating I remember what was being referred to.

Of course I remember that. And I'm insulted that you would consider that "crying about being hazed." No, that was a crazy, ballistic, below-the-belt stupid internet fight. No tears were shed (at least by me).

 
I'm going to try and be objective here but I do see MovingOnUp's point:

- BK went below-the-belt by making personal remarks about trace's spouse

- trace may have also crossed that line talking about Pris living off her parents' money

I don't know if those two compare... but they both can hit sore spots. Which is why I say it's better to talk about the opinions rather than the poster of those opinions.

Uh, I did not say "crying about being hazed".  Read my last about not having an opinion on way or the other, just stating my memory of the incident being referred to.

Ah... so not "echo chamber" but more like "status quo". I agree with you totally on this point... I would rather she stay too and I'm glad that MovingOnUp is sticking around. Like I said, I thought she was going to ride it through but I woke up this morning and "poof"... gone.

Do you think the other members here were trying to make her leave? Or were just trying to get her to be honest and/or prove her mettle? There's a difference.

But what would that accomplish? I don't think any of the realtors minded. I think other members were just trying to get her to prove her worth... even IndieDev was being very courteous in explaining his position on his posts to her.
 
I hope that she comes back.  I admit I was "over-whelmed" at first by her approach but she did hold a conversation and seemed "friendly" so I hope she finds her way back as I'm looking for more (i.e. additional) input from professionals on the dynamics hitting the market as I'm still shopping from 4(ish) thousand miles away until the timing is right for my family.
