If you mean "complicity", well, I already expressed my disapproval of them not following my "2 year rule" in getting engaged. Also, when you hear your dad constantly saying "we just have to get your sister married" and...um...you went on a few dates with your sister's fiance in HS...you just let it go down however they want and keep your piehole shut.

And I am now back home again, and wanting to sing "Ding, Dong the Witch is Dead" for some reason.

I think a 2 year minimum is a good idea. I'd also add in actually living together for a time, although I know I could receive the wrath of many for saying that.

No wrath here, i actually encourage it also. Men and women are very different and living together is a crucibel. I waited 6 years and WOULD have waited longer had I known my wife had sever debt issues (now taken care of 3 YEARS LATER...). But definitely we got off to a bad start and that is also why I recommend a smaller wedding.

Money is almost the #1 issue and starting off by spending $00,000 to $000,000 on a wedding could be the start of the breaking point.

Just my two cents.
