You're like one of those psychics who get some of the facts right.

You should tell us about Homer, PS9 and qwerty next.

Well, I've embellished for fun but I think I've got you pegged pretty well by now. That'll be $12, please.

Absolutely. Anyone want to volunteer to be my next victim? If I think I know your personality well enough, I'll give you a reading.

ME-ME-ME :-) You know the past, tell me about the future. This thing I am planning to do- will I succeed?
:-\

*Gulp!* I am the kind of psychic that can only read the past! $5 discount and I'll do my best...

Your profession may be what you are "supposed" to do... but writing is what you are meant to do. Your greatest successes will come from that. Keep going.

I pegged qwerty as a jock but he makes it sound like he was more of an academic.

ive never been a jock in the true sense of the word- but i really enjoy watching sports (bball/football). i loved playing basketball from elementary and on but after graduating college with long hours at work it became harder and harder to continue playing, never been a fan of playing football due to some OCD type issues, always a lot of blood and never wanted it on me. At SC though i would get asked if i played football/soccer (football probably due to the weights, soccer probably cause im mexican and i wore shorts alot and my legs were ripped from running), got into lifting weights cause i hated being overpowered by my older brothers and decided that when i was older i would bow down to no one. so while i enjoy watching sports, dont play them anymore (well basketball).

i dont consider myself an academic whatsoever though and im sure i dont fit the profile of one - if we ever meet im just a pretty normal guy, laid back, likes sports/women (well looking at them, that is why i trail ms qwerty while walking).

well technically i did play for one day in spring ball in high school. but the heat (around 100 degrees) and blood made the decision to quit on day 1. but no i have never played organized football - ive played plenty of football with friends on the weekends but no organized football.

@socal:

What is Girls League? That and organizing dances sounds like Spirit Club to me.

I was going to say newspaper or yearbook but didn't know you were that much into journalism.

Note to self: If I ever get into a fight with qwerty, just start bleeding for an advantage. :)

Ishoppr: He could be found playing chess in the library after school with friends. To make some extra cash, he wrote essays for other kids' homework. You could always count on him to have a copy of the teacher's Scantron answer sheet on a multiple choice quiz. If you're friends or pay him with a candy bar, he'll let you peek at it for free. He didn't go to prom but he didn't care. He spent that night doing chemistry experiments in his lab at home. He had posters of Christie Brinkley on his bedroom wall to keep him company.
I don't play chess. I hated school and never stayed after school because I was rarely in school in the first place.  I ditched almost a semester. Scantron was not used during my era. I don't eat sweet and my friends were all smarter than me . I can't write and no one asked me to be a ghost writer. I did go to prom with 2 girls at the same time and I did experiment with chemistry at the Bonaventure that prom night. Christie Brinkley poster was first published shortly after my college years. I never liked chemistry and that was my weakest subject. The summation of my GPA digits was not more than "3". I began my freshmen year at Stanford but quickly transferred out.

If this is about IHS, I will say my projections are completely different.
He didn't have much fun, but he must have had a lot of life experiences in the formative age to bring out the genius. I don't think he was home with Christie Brinkley's posters either :P I am sure there was a little Howard Rourke somewhere, and still lives within.

This description is closer for sure
I was a big fan of Rand
My beginnings were mostly failures
Ending with more enemies than friends

I would love to hear the story of how IHO met Mrs.IHO though :-)

I hope Iho will tell us but since he hasn't yet - here is my imagined version of how it all went down based on what little we know about him so far:

He met her in college. They had a class together and shared a couple mutual friends. In addition to being his lab partner (thanks to some careful planning on his part!), she also happened to become part of his social circle. The group went miniature golfing together, went to a concert or two, and hung out at a friend's house. This was the gateway to dating because he was a little bit shy and insecure. He could never actually ask her out. Risk his ultimate fear of rejection? No way! So, he annoyed her to get attention. He blew drinking straw wrappers at her. Made jokes at her expense. Poked fun at himself. Tested the waters. Eventually, only thanks to Mrs. Iho's tenacity and reassurances, things progressed from there. She was exactly the kind of girl Momma Iho wanted him to find. A nice "Austrian" girl. On paper, she ticked all the boxes of what Momma Iho had ingrained in him to look for. Fast-forward years later and he proposed. But not just any proposal. He blindfolded her, put her in a car, and drove her to the very football stadium at their college where they had their first kiss. A 12-piece band awaited along with a sky-writer where it spelled out: "Will you merry me?" The guy flying the plane wasn't the best speller but they had a laugh at it, she said yes, and they lived happily ever after.

Iho -- am I still pretty accurate??  :D

Make up a nice cliched romantic story for me too !!

And that post suddenly shattered the very macho TI image of Qwerty I had in my mind, walking his two tiny dogs in as Asian neighborhood. I thought of you as someone who might have been the boy every girl wanted to date, but not take home. Guess we are entitled to our own generalizations.

Funny exercise SoCal :-)

Cmon CZ! you are ruining my day! i am no longer considered macho  :(

lets just say i dont think most people would mess with me when im walking my tiny dogs  :)  and im no longer in an asian neighborhood, well i kind of am and kind of not.  on my block at the new place i would have to say its almost 50/50 white/asian and then me the lone mexican  :(

on my my second marriage now, but lets just say qwerty (excellent use of the third person reference) had no issues with the ladies in my pre-marriage days.  in my senior year in college i wore green contacts one day and this girl told me i looked like derek jeter, i peronally dont think at the time i looked like him, well i guess there was some similarity in the arms and chest  :) - she was hitting on me so of course i played along.  For the record, im now a good amount heavier than my "jeter" days, so now i really look nothing like him.

Rico suave! (In a good way.) Holy guacamole. Very cute. And totally intimidating. How old is this photo? I always pictured you "gruff" - a bit of a lumberjack. Instead, you seem much more dapper, for sure... like Abercrombie and Ralph Lauren had a baby together and his name was Qwerty.

I believe that's a picture of Derek Jeter... not qwerty.

Oh, really?? I don't know anything about who's who in baseball. CZ and I have been tricked. It looks like we both fell for it. You must be right because now I see the link is from a baseball site. Too bad. So sad. J/k.
