What is the cheapest way to go to LAX from Irvine?

The cheapest way is to catch a ride from IHO when he takes his Paris trip leaving from LAX. If you miss this ride then your odd of winning the lottery or get hit by lighting is better than him making another trip to LA.

Welcome to IHB.

Thanks!

Guess I'll go buy the mega millions (>220million!) tickets and use 0.00005% to pay the limo to LAX!!

And anyone needs a ride?

Silly bk... he forgets to mention that he goes to ChinaTown twice a day to drop off steamed pork buns at his mom's so they can feed the local Triad. After they eat, he teaches an art and home design class so the homies have something to fall back on after they retire from shaking down the various area restaurants.

Just don't mention anything about garages on the way there... he might Extreme Pizza you.

I would suggest Craigslist but considering recent news, that may not be the safest suggestion. I actually think MetroLink is probably the cheapest... but also takes the longest.

Well, not the cheapest way, but last week when we went to Hawaii (out of LAX), we hired a limo company that hubby's work uses. When we got to LAX we were so relaxed - no stress whatsoever! The driver arrived at our home ON TIME and emailed us with his name and ETA 1/2 hour before he arrived at our home. When we returned to LAX, they were waiting for us at the airport. Sometimes it is worth it to spend a bit more...

Thanks!</blockquote>

There are a few of us who work in LAX area, and maybe able to give you a free ride there if you don't mind leaving early. There are also service like pickuppal.com anc craigslist.com that give you a larger audience to ask about.

If you don't want the hassle of asking, as mentioned above, there is the mass transit for you. From Irvine, you will need to be able to get to either the Irvine or Tustin Metrolink station. Take it to Norwalk, and take the shuttle (bus #5, IIRC) to Norwalk Metro Green line station. Take the Green to Aviatiion, and there is a shuttle there to take you to LAX. You can also take Metrolink all the way to Union Station, and switch to Metro Red Line to get to the Green Line, and proceed as expected. Have fun!
