What did you do during the blackout?

Well... not really a blackout, but TalkIrvine was down yesterday afternoon and evening.

Seems like there was an issue with the data center that affected many other websites too. Either that or TIC knew that they were putting the Cyprus Village homes online and we would bash them so they tried to cyber hack TI.

Other than hitting the refresh button every other minute.... I spent my time hunting for the Cyprus Village floorplans, looking at older floorplans, checking out sold homes on Redfin (to see what we SHOULD have bought) and generally cursing at the low inventory and rising prices.

I've been thinking about setting up a Twitter account just in case this happens again (Twitter is less invasive than Facebook, I can remain anonymous) but don't know if I can say stuff in less than 140 characters.

i wasnt at my desk or at home so i thought it was my iphone giving me issues most of the day, then when i got home it still wasnt working.

Talk Irvine throttled
Zombified resurrection
Shambling toward West Park

140 characters isn't that hard to work within.

1) To answer the question, I missed you a lot - yeah you, the O.P. Missed everyone else, too. I wondered if anyone missed me yet.

2) Sad and bored, I laid on the living room floor and did "carpet angels" in my high-pile, twist Costco carpet.

3) Went shoe shopping. Bought. Helped in my kid's classroom. Did my normal daily work x 4 since I wasn't as distracted. All while refreshing every few minutes. When a tinge of sadness hit, shoe-shopped some more to distract myself until I could see my imaginary friends again. Held virtual hands with CZ through Facebook. Unhappy at the fact that I would never get to speak to / follow-up with some of you again if something really happened to TI for good one day. Good thing TI is back online. My shoe rack won't hold anymore for now.

** Only 2 of these are true. Which 2?

we can all just get together at the doughnut shop and hug it out.

the only thing i have ever found tasty at whole foods is their little sweet corn tamales they have on occasion. everything is bland there.

Hehe... I just opened a Twitter account for fun today... and the first person it suggested to follow was IrvineRealtor... hilarious.

And I think within an hour I got one follower... some guy who says he helps others manage their social media (must be looking for some business).

I only eat the gelato at Whole Foods. Or the cupcakes. Or the chocolate. I think I've had their pizza and one of their sandwiches. Maybe some Au Gratin too. :)

Yup. It's true. Every Friday night, I beg him to take me out for jellyfish tentacles over squid ink rice, a side of well-done octopus suction cups to share, and boba tea. Of course, I have to teach him HOW to eat all of this stuff and order for him, too, but he's getting better. From there, we head off to watch Mr. Bean reruns on the BBC per his suggestion.... That's a glimpse of our typical date night.

Looking forward to this Friday's menu :)
