Mine would be to minimize the exposure to the general public day after day, sooner or later you'll meet someone where you'll feel they need to be on something or not be allowed to wander outside on their own.  As our population of 7 billion grows, the more I feel like the movie Idiocracy is a great prediction of our future.  Working in a small office with a small staff might be the only way to escape the dregs of society.

Government employee or politician.

My recommendation to my kids is to seek something with only the following three requirements:

1. Something that they enjoy.
2. Something that they are good at.
and
3. Something that people will pay them adequately to do.

If they find only 1&2 but can't make ends meet, they will forever be on someone else's dime. The world has enough of these.
If they find only 1&3 but are not skillful at the job, they will remain frustrated.
If they find only 2&3 but don't enjoy the work, they will remain unfulfilled, no matter how "successful" they become.
