Watch repair place?

Anyone know of a good watch repair place? I have an automatic chronometer that was very accurate. Would bang this on walls, doors etc and still told perfect time, then I dropped it on the floor and a couple of days later the time was off. It works but after a couple of days it will be off by five minutes or so.

I was thinking of tourneau or jostmar jewelers at south coast plaza but wanted to see if anyone here had a good recommendation?

 
I have had good experience with Nesbit's in Seattle.  I know it's not local, and you may be wary sending thousands of dollars worth of watch through the mail, but Nesbit's was a highly regarded authorized Omega service center before Omega decided to take everything in house.  Otherwise, if your watch has a boutique in South Coast, you can take it there and have the factory perform a service.  BTW, mechanical watches should be serviced every 5 years to keep everything well oiled and lubed.  <--- I may have just set myself up to be qwerty'd with the last sentence.

my bad! didnt even know that was a commercial. i thought the question was a little odd, now i know. just saw that commercial, pretty good. Now moving on to more important things, the jack in the box on edinger/jamboree doesnt have that Jalapeno BBQ burger :-(    i need to track down a JIB that does.
 
I would recommend Time Palace Jewelers in Tustin. I've gone to Al (the owner) on several occasions, from changing batteries, changing straps, and servicing an automatic watch, and I have always been happy with his work.

Al at Time Palace was decent, just didn't like that area..
 
I have had very good experiences with Jack at Jostmar Jewelers. He fixed an old automatic Tag watch that had a winding issue. Now, if this is a high end watch you are talking about (Rolex, AP, IWC, etc...), I would send it back to the mfg or find a certified repair shop. Not worth the risk.

Tourneau = Ripoff!!!

Then sell the watch and get yourself a Patek phillipe.


If that's not in the budget,  do what i do - wear a Casio G Shock or Timex.  Or be like IHO and wear a calculator watch.

i dont like the look of most of his watches. there is one that i do like though. but im pretty sure that is out of my budget. Gshock here i come!

I'll take that as a compliment.

I had these watches as a yute:

1. Above mentioned Calculator Watch
2. Am Radio Watch
3. Video Game Watch (it was a Space Invaders type game)

I'm a brute so watches don't last very long as they get beat up quite a bit. I stopped wearing watches about 5 years ago (thanks to my phone).

I'm a pretty big Omega fan, and didn't know they made a Mickey watch, got to look that up, my wife would be very happy!  I know they made a Snoopy watch a few years back though...
