Walk in Closet, Garage Organizer, and Tech Desk

I am looking to install walk in closet, garage organizer, and tech desk in the loft area for my new home.

For the walk in closet and the garage organizer, I was looking into Home Depot custom installation.
Anyone know how good they are? Or recommend other contractors that offers better value?

I was thinking about the DIY closet kits at Lowes or Costco.

Has anyone determined some great ideas to maximize usable space?  slide out racks for t-shrts? - yes or no?  Best way to store shoes?
I looked at the Container Store and saw a couple pretty nice designs, but am not sure if there are better ideas out there,
