Found out about this via Tech Crunch. Google has made this information available via their search results:

<a href="http://www.google.com/publicdata?ds=usunemployment&met=unemployment_rate&idim=state:ST060000&idim=county:pS060670&tdim=true">US, CA, Orange County Unemployment</a>

Check the link for the latest. Looks like California (12.1%) and Orange County (9.6%) have set new highs. I'm not feeling very warm and fuzzy about this.

<a href="http://www.beaconecon.com/">Chris Thornberg of Beacon Economics</a> and formerly of UCLA's Anderson forecast, now has the ability to search by MSA to see how bad it really is in OC with chartpr0n.

And for those who said it was different this time that the defense sector killed the 90s but the mortgage/RE jobs wouldn't be as bad this time mantra, even though I warned you so... so... many other jobs were dependent on RE... Well... you can kiss my fawking a$$...

Combine the 80s and 90s recession and it is no where near this recession. I wasn't pessimistic enough back in 07... now it looks like I was right... only worse. What will that mean in the next 2-3 years... Only more home price declines. Mark my words! More declines!
