I thought I'd share my latest unexpectedly delicious food discovery...Cacique Crema Mexican Agria! We have tacos a lot and usually just use regular sour cream. But this week on a whim I thought I'd pick up some of this stuff to try instead. It was DELICIOUS! Much tastier, smoother, and creamier than regular sour cream. I highly recommend it!



Anyone else have any surprisingly yummy recommendations to share?
 
Is it sold only in Mexican supermarkets or available in Ralphs/Vons/Albertsons? Is it actually sour cream? How did you use it, as a dip for chips or something else?

Cacique is the brand name. ;-P

I got it at Albertson's. And it was on sale!



I used it as a topping for the tacos the other night. Also, tonight I added it to my burrito from Baja Fresh. It is sour cream but it tastes different, somehow.

I'm not big on Hummus but I tried the Mediterranean Hummus at Trader Joes and never looked back. Very rich, creamy, and delicious and relatively healthy.



Eat it as a vegetable dip or with Pita Chips almost every day now... My favorite is to buy a bag of those mini sweet peppers from Costco (for like $3) and dip them in the Hummus - lasts about 2 weeks and costs around $7 for everything...



Also one more that comes to mind is the complimentary dinner rolls and butter at Lonestar Steakhouse... Those things are awesome.

I also like the mini sweet peppers (alone or with hummus). Sometimes I stuff them with cheese and toss them in the oven for a few minutes.
