Disclaimer: I am in no way taking/pushing a position on guns.

I just came across this in another forum, and thought you guys might like to see Irvine PD in action that didn't involve traffic violations for a change.

So 4-5 police officers are called to the scene and removed from the pool of available responders because this guy pulled a Second Amendment stunt. How did this help his cause? Where are his Constitutional arguments? I'm irritated.
 
What fsking moron. I don't know how he got into a UC school if he didn't even pass basic civic in high school. The police enforce the laws, they don't enact them. If he wanted to challenge the law, he didn't have to pull a stupid stunt like this. And the Fourth Amendment BS ... My head hurts. Dude, you called the police because someone was in your house that you said shouldn't be there. Of course, the police will enter your home.

I have to give the IPD (or was it UC police?) total props for their professionalism.

I double dog dare this guy to pull his stunt at Cal State LA. If the responding officers are from the local jurisdiction, $10 says he gets a different outcome.

Man, if you're so sure, you should bet more than $10. With inflation and rising costs of everything from healthcare to hot dogs, you can't get more than a chicken sandwich at Corner Bakery with $10. Make it $100??
 
that guy was a moron for trying to provoke the cops (UC police are a state police force). Of course, the cops showed their comprehension abilities too, if what he said was true, that he asked "whether he should get a gun to protect myself", rather than there was an intruder with a gun.

He can scream all he wants for his second amendment rights, but by agreeing to live in UCI housing (which is state owned), he agreed to abide by the laws governing gun possession on state property, which are more restrictive than the 2nd. Same as if he entered a courtroom.
 
Good thing that the witness was filming otherwise that kid would have commited a near death self-inflicted wound where he was scheduled to be pronounced dead inside a Santa Ana bound ambulance as soon the vehicle crossed over to the Santa Ana side of Jamboree by Central Park West.
 
(btw, just read the title more closely. Since they were living in those apartments, it couldn't have been a "professor". Most likely some whacko grad student.)

Dude, I'm a public employee, and with all the furloughs, $10 is $100 - to me anyway.
