They were showing pretty much alot of very cool and fun places to work.

And while i'm watching this i'm thinking to myself...

Wow... I REALLY hate my work.

I just pretty much think, "You *******, douchebag, *********, ***** ** ****, ****, I HATE YOU all!"

Please accept my apologies.... i'm just stressed. Chances are they are going to sell off each product line and close the plant down. :(

I really i only dislike a very select few, but dislike is a very weak word to describe it.

good luck

So sorry, but just maybe you'll find something you love............or at least don't hate with such passion. Seriously, are you ok?

I really don't think I will. Engineering has been on the downslide since the 60s, most companies just want a disposable workforce. Never mind that you might be one of the worlds best engineers, when corporate needs to roll heads... well, "its nothing personal".

And the Govt. wonders why engineers with TS (Top Secret) clearances and black project clearances get bought off so easily. Not for the money, no, something more absurd. Recognition.... sad really.

anyways, i should just retire and manage the apartments or start my own company.

Hey Bix, don't get down, like I always say, real wealth can only be created by Mining, Agriculture and manufacturing so print this out, keep it in a Frame on your Desk...

Ehh, I just need to relax a little bit. I always worry about what I can't change. Maybe its time I start an engineering firm where "I" can change things. Hopefully for the better. I just really need to take control and search for another job.

I'm sorry to hear this, but I'm sure you will find something soon. Sadly, the workforce has been changing over the past 20+ years - I have seen it. In my parent's generation, you could count on working for a single company for most of your life if you chose to. That is not the case anymore. Today we have outsourcing, downsizing and we are forced to do the work of two people. I saw this happening in my profession (I.T.) and took a step to protect myself. Not that ANY sort of job is totally secure anymore, but I found that working for the state/government offers some protection from the instability of corporate America. They pay is much less than you would receive in the private sector, but the benefits are pretty good and of course, you get a pension. Granted, taking a paycut (and putting up with the governmental red-tape) is not possible for everyone, but for myself, I found that stability and peace-of-mind is more meaningful to me.

Good luck to you - I'm sure you will land on your feet. Take care.

Sorry to hear, Bix. We spend the majority of our day at work so it's not good to be stressed out constantly. One of the best pieces of advice I got is to make your job fun. It helps to see the humor in things. Luckily, it sounds like you have a lot of other opportunities to pursue, though... such as your property management. To everything, there is a season. Maybe it's time to change things up a little. Let us know how it goes.

All careers are the same- you are in only till they need you. Good luck!
