Does anyone know of a reasonably priced honest company that fixes toilets.  My toilet keeps running and hubby doesn't know how to fix.  I'm pretty sure it's an easy fix.  I've tried three plumber companies in the past which charged a ridiculous amount.

Thank you.

It's probably the flapper.  $5 for the part which you can change in 2 minutes.  If your husband can't do it, it's time for a divorce.

Had the same problem.  It was the flapper and pretty straight forward fix.  Not sure if it was 2 minutes, but definitely under 15 including the youtube search and tutorial.  Make sure you bring your current flapper to Home Depot to match it up and buy the more expensive version (should last longer).

If the flapper isn't the problem, you can try pulling the refill tube out of the overflow tube and placing it back inside.  I had a similar issue and my flapper was perfectly fine, but fixing positioning of the refill tube solved my issue.

This is very important.  Even "universal" flappers aren't entirely universal.  And some toilets don't have flapper valves.
