TIVO alert: Cramer v. NAR on Friday

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
<p>The article was pretty normal until I got to the end when it announced:</p>

<p class="textBodyBlack">"If you want to see more of the debate, Cramer is scheduled to return to the "Today Show" on Friday to face off with a member of the NAR. The expected verbal fireworks are set to air at 7:30 am New York time."</p>

<p><a href="http://www.cnbc.com/id/21015928">www.cnbc.com/id/21015928</a></p>

<p>First of all, this thing needs to be an one-hour show. (maybe sequels)</p>

<p>Second, I wonder who is going to represent the NAR? Yun? </p>

<p>I ran across this via CNBC</p>

<p>Check out some of the "literature" put out by the NAR</p>

<p><a href="http://www.realtor.org/pac.nsf/pages/BuyNow">www.realtor.org/pac.nsf/pages/BuyNow</a></p>

<p>According to the NAR:</p>

<p>"Good Time to Buy” emphasizes the value that REALTORS® bring to home buyers in this environment. <strong>Of course, every market is different, which is why the ads recommend that potential home buyers call a REALTOR</strong><strong>®</strong><strong> in their local market to learn more about what’s happening with real estate in his or her community</strong>."</p>

<p>Because realtors have magical powers and mind reading abilities. . .</p>

<p></p>

<p>One catchy slogan-</p>

<p>Our Realtard didn't think the market would change. He knew it would!! My caption would be... and he still told me it was a good time to buy. If I see that SOB I will take a ratchet to his head.</p>

Cramer is going to just go crazy on whoever the NAR sends over. They are making a big mistake doing this on one of the highest rated morning shows. This will be a huge backfire for NAR. Going to be late for work tomorrow. Need to watch this one live. This is where the RE crisis moves into panic mode. And they will blame it all on Cramer in months to come. He is the perfect fall guy and it seems poetic in a certain kind of way. So many housewives watch this show. All those wives pushing hubby to buy that house will now have second thoughts. Those sales numbers for August were ugly. Wait till October and November. Can you say BOOOOO YA. for Holloween.

Already setup to record. Does anyone know how to upload it to the laptop from the Motorola DVR? Or should I say forget it because someone will have uploaded to youtube before lunch?

<p>There's only one thing left for the NAR to do ...</p>

<p>... they have to try and bribe Colbert to join the NAR in exchange for a free McMansion</p>

<p>Never mind, just caught it on the Today show website (no link because I found via their video viewer). Such a let down. . .no choking or physical altercation of any kind Heck, the NAR could not even get a guy out to NYC to challenge Cramer.</p>

<p>My reaction is that the NAR is spewing the same propaganda as before. My favorite tactic is the "housing market is good because the realtors are optimistic" reasoning. I cannot believe the NAR guy recommended Indiana and MICHIGAN!!!! Kills me.</p>

I don't think I could shill. The NAR guy made me feel sorry for him. He is paid to lie; everyone knows he is lying; he knows he is lying; I could not do it...

<p>Aw c'mon you guys. Didn't you listen. Real estate is regional. You need to talk to your <strong>local real estate professional</strong> to get a good idea of whether or not you should buy.</p>

<p>I am sure your <strong>local real estate professional</strong> will tell you it is a good time to buy. </p>

IR, he's the president-elect of the NAR, which I have to assume is a contest to find the biggest, best, and most convincing liar in the industry. I see a bright future for him if he ever decides to take a pay cut and enter national politics.
