The Tour de France!

It's almost that time again. The Tour de France commences July 5th. Three of the only four American riders will be rockin' the argyle armada for

Team Garmin/Chipotle on their <strong>Felt </strong>bicycles. The team also includes everyone's favorite Scot, <a href="http://www.slipstreamsports.com/category/millar-diaries/">David Millar</a>.

Hey Peter, are you hosting a party?

Yes, I am Prof, but guess what, you're not invited....

Actually, I'm riding a Century on July 5th, luckily Tivo has been invented so I can watch it later (or the Cox equivalent) But lets have a party on the last Day of the Tour :)

I think I'll be cheering for Garmin/Chipotle ( what or who the hell is a Chipotle)...

Unfortunately Rock Racing aren't in the tour, yet, they're probably too good.... :-S

I like Bradley Wiggins, He's a cheeky Monkey....

I can't believe we are cheering for the same team, Pete. We must have slipped into some sort of alternate universe.

Chipotle is a fast-food Mexican restaurant, favored by many IHB'ers because they wrap their food in tin foil.

Thus, they provide both sustenance and the requisite head gear any nutter needs.

At least Bradley Wiggins isn't racing for Cofidis anymore. Cofidis riders = wankers. :p

Anyways, no more posties and no more team Discovery Channel. At least Felt's sponsoring :)

Now they're Team High Road, no wait, that was this morning, this afternoon they're Team Columbia, who knows who they'll be when they arrive at the TDF?

:eek:hh:

Talking of which, who will win KOM this year?

<a href="http://tour-de-france.velonews.com/article/80615/sastre-wins-the-2008-l-alpe-d-huez-stage">Sastre wins the 2008 L'Alpe d'Huez stage </a>

This has really been an exciting tour. The teamwork has been truly spectacular, and so have the crashes for that matter. Amazingly, they hop back on their bikes and keep pedaling.

But what happened to our burrito boys? Here's the <a href="http://velonews.tv/?articleID=2321">interview</a> with Vande Velde talking about the race today.

Can you imagine attacking on this climb? Wow!
